Pre-owned Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea ref 116660 (2011 – 2017) was the first reference in the series. Introduced in 2008, the iconic dive watch brought with it an increased depth rating of up to 3,900 meters/12,800 feet. Previously, the highest water-resistance available in the brand’s catalog was the Sea-Dweller at 4,000 feet. Its incredible waterproofness, coupled with a contemporary and robust design, made the series an instant success among avid collectors. As a modern timepiece, the ref. 116660 utilizes a stunning ceramic bezel insert, a larger Maxi display on the D-Blue dial, and a flat-link Oyster bracelet secured by a folding Oysterlock clasp. The case is also larger than traditional Rolex divers, measuring 44mm in diameter, and includes a Helium Escape Valve, a thicker 5mm sapphire crystal, and a Ring Command System, allowing it to withstand extreme depths and making it a highly prized collector’s item on the secondary market.
